Pokémon Showdown

Pokémon Showdown is an online Pokémon battle simulator that will let you recreate hundreds of battles between different characters of the well-known Nintendo franchise. Specifically, this simple program will provide you with all the necessary options to generate your own battles without having to resort to other, more complicated video game programming tools.

Create your Pokémon team in seconds

After running the Pokémon Showdown visual interface, you'll be ready to search for the different Pokémon that will form part of your team. In the Teambuilder section, you just have to enter the name of each character and choose their physical appearance, attacks and stats quickly and accurately. What's more, you can always import teams directly from texts or even copy default builds from other players with a single click.

Battle other players and record each one

One of the most interesting parts of this simulator is closely related to the online combat system. Pokémon Showdown will allow you to battle online against players from all over the world. From the Format tab, you'll also have access to various available formats, from OU (OverUsed), UU, RU, to doubles battles or special formats such as Random Battle or Monotype. The tool will also let you record your battles for other members of the community to enjoy.

Play on your smartphone, too

Although Pokémon Showdown won't allow you to download any official app for Android, you can always use the web version to open the tool in your favorite browser. This way, you can create your Pokémon battles from any smartphone without consuming too many resources.
